Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The Junior Finance Specialist will work closely with the Finance Manager within the Service Unit to support national personnel financial operations, financial planning, and compliance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Planning & SAP Management: Support local projects with financial planning, cost monitoring, and expenditure tracking using SAP S/4HANA.
  • Financial Reporting & Controls: Prepare project financial reports according to international donor requirements, manage internal and external controls, and draft budgets for new projects or extensions.
  • Management Support: Provide timely financial information to the Head of Service Unit in Tanzania (HoSU) upon request or on a pre-scheduled basis.
  • Administrative Quality Assessment: Assess administrative functions for quality and coordinate regularly with the HoSU and other Finance Managers to standardize and harmonize processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: University degree in business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced MS-Excel.
  • Experience: Initial experience working with a Big 4 audit company or controlling big international companies is an added advantage.
  • Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and fluency in English.
