Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

The accountant will manage financial records, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and support the overall financial health of the organization.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements), ensure compliance with accounting standards, and assist with budgets and forecasts.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, post journal entries, and conduct regular bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, manage VAT, PAYE, and statutory obligations, and liaise with tax authorities and external auditors.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor and manage AP/AR processes, ensure timely invoice payments and collections, and perform credit control and debt management.
  • Financial Analysis & Controls: Analyze data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities, provide insights for management, and implement internal control systems to safeguard company assets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA qualification is required.
  • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, with proven expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and general ledger management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
