Job Summary

The Payroll Officer supports the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll operations across assigned countries, ensuring all payroll-related data is processed on time and to the highest standard of accuracy. The role involves preparing, validating, and reconciling payroll input data, assisting in payroll runs, managing employee queries, and maintaining records in compliance with statutory and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Execution & Validation: Support end-to-end payroll processing by validating input data (new hires, exits, salary changes, allowances, deductions, and benefits) in coordination with HR and Finance.
  • Records Management & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records in line with Information Governance and Records Management (IGRM) policies, ensuring audit readiness and GDPR/PDPA compliance.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations (tax, pension, social security), follow payroll control checklists, and support the Payroll Consultant with audit schedules and reconciliations.
  • Case Management & Employee Support: Manage payroll-related queries via case management systems (e.g., C4C), collaborating with HR, Finance, and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to resolve issues promptly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), participate in post-payroll reviews, and support process automation initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Experience in payroll administration or data processing within a shared-services or multi-country environment.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll processes, data validation, and statutory deductions.
  • Systems Familiarity: Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, or similar).
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal proficiency in English, exceptional data accuracy, and the ability to manage confidential information responsibly under tight deadlines.
  • Legal Requirements: Must have the legal right to work in the country at the time of application (relocation or visa sponsorship support is not provided).
