Job Summary

The Accountant will oversee financial records, reporting, and regulatory compliance, with a specialized focus on construction project accounting, cost control, and financial accuracy. The role encompasses general ledger management, treasury operations, statutory tax filings, bank reconciliations, asset tracking, and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction & Project Accounting: Track costs, budgets, and expenditures for construction projects, ensuring effective cost control and project-based accounting.
  • Financial Reporting & General Ledger: Maintain daily transactions according to International Accounting Standards, manage asset accounting, and reconcile general ledger accounts (AP, AR, Payroll, and Bank).
  • Treasury & Cash Control: Oversee cash flow, petty cash, bank reconciliations, and overall treasury operations.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Ensure timely filing of statutory tax returns and compliance with local tax regulations, financial policies, and accounting frameworks.
  • Auditing & Budgeting: Support internal and external audits with required documentation, assist in budget preparation, and perform financial variance analysis.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualification: CPA qualification is strictly required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, with prior experience in the construction industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of project accounting, cost control, local tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting ERP software.
