Job Summary

The Lead Accountant serves as a crucial bridge between global trade operations and bespoke client advisory. The position manages all internal corporate accounting and multi-jurisdictional financial reporting under IFRS standards while acting as a primary financial fiduciary for a select client portfolio, ensuring cross-border financial, tax, and statutory compliance with absolute discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Stewardship & Reporting: Oversee internal P&L, forecasting, and cash flow under IFRS. Lead the preparation and audit of consolidated financial statements for multi-jurisdictional entities.
  • International Tax & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with cross-border tax regulations and international reporting frameworks (e.g., FATCA, CRS) and manage relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Fiduciary Advisory & Client Services: Serve as a trusted financial advisor managing complex trade transactions, providing expert guidance on cross-border logistics and trade deal structures while maintaining absolute confidentiality.
  • Risk Management & Controls: Implement robust internal financial controls, processes, and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Professional Designation: Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience in international corporate finance or a fiduciary/trading environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), advanced ERP systems, and financial modeling.
  • Cross-Border Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of cross-border taxation, international trade logistics, and regulatory compliance.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional client trust-building, complex problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to exercise absolute fiduciary discretion.
