Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the role is to prepare financial information for all stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and support business growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performance Management & Analysis: Analyze and challenge business performance using effective management information, financial modeling, and data analysis for key projects.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Develop and report financial metrics, including Monthly Business Review Packs, Board papers, and Country Management Packs.
  • Budgeting & Planning: Provide annual/half-yearly forecasts against budgets and support Medium Term Planning (MTP) and Short Term Planning (STP) processes.
  • Cost & Efficiency Management: Challenge cost commitments, identify efficiency opportunities, and produce reports aimed at cost reduction and improved financial performance.
  • Risk & Audit: Maintain risk procedures for identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation, and reporting, while driving remediation of audit exceptions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with senior managers and act as the key finance interface with the Regional Office.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Detailed knowledge of financial modeling using advanced Excel functionality and proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
  • System Interrogation: Ability to quickly acquire skills to interrogate systems such as Finacle, Vision, and SQL.
  • Communication & Analytics: Strong communication skills with the ability to analyze and summarize large volumes of data into concise, understandable formats.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of business strategic objectives, value drivers, and key banking account lines (Income, staff costs, recharges, depreciation, impairments, etc.).
