Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The Finance Manager will oversee and manage all accounting and financial operations of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and managing daily operations of the accounting department and financial activities.
  • Preparing, supervising, and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Coordinating and managing internal and external audit processes.
  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing accounting policies, procedures, and financial software systems.
  • Preparing tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations, and submitting government financial reports and statutory filings on time.
  • Communicating financial performance, risks, and issues to senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Conducting financial analysis, providing guidance, and supporting strategic planning and decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance role with 8+ years of total work experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Core Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, taxation, auditing, regulatory compliance, local tax laws, and proficiency in accounting and financial management software.
