Job Summary

The Finance Manager takes full ownership of the monthly financial close process, reporting, and commercial advisory for East African business units (Tanzania and Kenya), ensuring accurate submissions in line with corporate guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Own the monthly reporting pack to the regional Finance Director and FP&A team, preparing accurate financial analyses and waterfall/bridge reports under tight deadlines.
  • Cash & Asset Management: Oversee cash flow analyses, working capital optimization, cost management, and capital expenditure (Capex) investments to maintain sustainable cash positions.
  • Tax Compliance & Governance: Act as the main point of contact for revenue authority audits, leading teams during TRA and KRA audits and dispute resolutions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes while partnering with local executive teams to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Leadership: Manage finance teams across Tanzania and Kenya, setting KPIs, fostering excellence, and driving strategic initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: A relevant degree and appropriate professional accounting qualifications (Minimum CPA).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of senior finance management experience, preferably with exposure to global multinational group reporting standards.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management abilities, and capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
