Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller for a growing company in the Travel & Tourism industry. The role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, supporting business growth through strategic financial management, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial and accounting operations in compliance with IFRS and Tanzanian regulations.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks.
  • Ensure compliance with TRA tax requirements including VAT, PAYE, and statutory obligations.
  • Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and policies.
  • Supervise accounting staff and support branch financial operations.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision-making.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of tax planning, compliance, financial management, understanding of Tanzanian regulatory frameworks, proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems, and strong leadership capabilities.
