Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, supporting financial planning, and promoting sound financial management within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Keeping & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts, supporting documentation, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, and management reports.
  • Budgets, Invoicing & Receivables: Develop, implement, and monitor company budgets and cash flow projections, as well as manage invoicing, collections, and account reconciliations.
  • Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Process payroll accurately, ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions, and maintain compliance with Tanzanian tax laws and reporting requirements.
  • Reconciliations & Internal Controls: Perform bank reconciliations, monitor cash/bank transactions, process supplier payments, maintain fixed asset and inventory records, and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
  • Audits & Management Support: Coordinate internal and external audits, implement audit recommendations, support procurement processes, and generate financial reports for strategic management decisions.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: CPA qualification or an equivalent professional accounting certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with work experience ranging between 4–5 years in a manufacturing or corporate environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll processing, and Tanzanian tax laws. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with working knowledge of Peak and Tally being an added advantage.
  • Core Competencies: High level of integrity, confidentiality, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently to strict deadlines.
