Job Summary

The position holder will support accurate and timely payroll and retirement benefits administration. Key duties include processing pension and provident fund contributions, statutory payments, final staff settlements, payroll reports, and payments for locum doctors and independent contractors, while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pension and Provident Fund Administration: Ensure complete and accurate deductions, timely enrollments and remittances, coordinate leaver payouts and transfers, ensure RBA regulatory compliance, and provide secretariat services to the Board of Trustees.
  • Payroll Processing & Reporting: Process monthly payroll for locum doctors and independent contractors (main hospital and outreach), manage statutory filings (NSSF, SHIF, HELB), process final settlements, and allocate payroll costs to appropriate budget centers.
  • Audit & Compliance: Coordinate timely audits for statutory accounts by assisting in drafting and reviewing audited accounts.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: CPA (K) or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (possessing both is an added advantage).
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant working experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures, MS Office applications, and accounting systems.
  • Core Competencies: Ability to work independently and collaboratively, strict adherence to deadlines, high integrity, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
