Job Summary

The Rainmaker Media Accountant will maintain accurate financial records, manage intercompany transactions, deliver monthly management accounts, and support annual budget forecasting. The role encompasses channel profitability analysis, Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provisions, audit assistance, vendor onboarding, and providing financial insights to sales and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Intercompany & Consolidation: Prepare and process monthly intergroup transactions and complete intercompany schedules for Group Consolidation.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Produce monthly management accounts, review P&L statements, analyze budget variances, and conduct monthly channel profitability analyses.
  • Budgets & Financial Close: Assist with annual budgets, rolling forecasts, month-end and year-end close processes, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) provision calculations.
  • Audits & Operations: Assist with annual financial statements, address audit queries, support vendor onboarding, approve voucher orders, and perform client spend analyses.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Accounting (holding or pursuing SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA qualification is advantageous).
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Technical Software Skills: Hands-on SAP experience is essential, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial data analysis skills, problem-solving ability, high personal integrity, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
