Job Summary

The Accounting Intern will assist the finance team in recording daily financial transactions, supporting invoice preparation, conducting bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate record-keeping systems, and assisting with general corporate accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Recording & Documentation: Assist with recording, organizing, and maintaining accurate financial transactions and records.
  • Invoicing & Reconciliations: Support invoice preparation and documentation, as well as bank and account reconciliations.
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, orderly financial files for audit readiness and internal reference.
  • General Finance Support: Support the broader accounting team with ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0 to 1 year of experience (entry-level / internship suitable).
  • Knowledge & Technical Skills:
    • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; basic knowledge of accounting software is an advantage.
  • Core Skills: Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, good communication and organizational skills, and a strong eagerness to learn in a team environment.
