Job Summary

The Business Analyst Intern will gather and analyze operational and sales data to assess organizational performance and improve internal processes and systems. Working closely with sales, operations, and finance teams, the intern will develop rolling sales forecasts, evaluate profitability, compute sales team commissions, and present data-driven recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Performance Analytics: Collect, evaluate, and report data to increase sales productivity, define KPIs/metrics, analyze sales trends against targets, and create visual presentations for management.
  • Business Operations & Profitability: Analyze business operations and work with operations/finance teams to assess the impact of operational changes on profitability.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Evaluate economic trends and prepare sales forecasts while supporting management in developing rolling sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Commissions & Business Intelligence: Compute timely commission payments for sales teams, mine business intelligence data, and propose actionable solutions to increase overall business performance.
  • Process Compliance & Support: Audit compliance with established sales processes, provide training/support to the sales team, and compile operational plans.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Advanced technical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), data visualization, and detailed report writing.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking, strong presentation and documentation skills, time management, and ability to influence stakeholders.
