Job Summary

The Finance Manager partners closely with operational and commercial teams, providing financial guidance to support decision-making, improve profitability, and align with group strategic objectives across the Tanzania hospitality portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Strategy: Lead and manage all finance and accounting functions across the Tanzania hospitality portfolio, translate group strategy into financial plans and budgets, and optimize cost structures and financial efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensure adherence to GAAP and statutory standards, and lead the delivery of monthly MIS reporting.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles, monitor performance against budget with variance analysis, and support long-term financial planning.
  • Accounting Operations & Controls: Oversee core accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Treasury, Revenue Assurance, Inventory, and Taxation to ensure accurate closures and reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax), statutory filings, and internal controls, acting as the primary liaison for internal and external audits.
