Job Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective strategic planning. The role will lead financial governance, treasury management, tax compliance, and cost control across operational business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation, maintain trial balance reconciliations, ensure audit readiness, and present financial reports to senior leadership.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Lead the annual budget creation, build cash flow forecasts and financial models, monitor variances, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Treasury & Cash Management: Manage daily liquidity, optimize working capital, and maintain strategic banking relationships.
  • Cost Management & Taxation: Implement cost controls across manufacturing and construction projects, manage TRA tax matters (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Corporate Tax), and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Supervise and mentor finance officers and accountants, providing financial insights to operational leads in Manufacturing, Construction, Real Estate, and Hospitality.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: CPA or ACCA qualification is strictly mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of progressive financial management experience. Experience in a diversified group, manufacturing, or construction environment is an added advantage.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with modern accounting/ERP systems. Proven background in budgeting, forecasting, and TRA tax compliance.
