Job Summary

The Financial Controller will lead and manage accounting and financial control functions across multiple regions. The role encompasses financial planning, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, internal controls, cost accounting, credit control, inventory tracking, and providing strategic financial leadership to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Control & Planning: Implement financial control systems including annual budgeting, rolling forecasting, cost standards, and expense management across multiple locations.
  • Performance Reporting & Insights: Prepare financial statements and operational reports, interpret performance against business plans, and advise executive leadership on strategic financial decisions.
  • Cash Flow, Credit & Assets: Manage short-term and long-term liquidity planning; oversee credit and collections approval thresholds; safeguard company assets through audits and insurance management.
  • Commercial & Operational Support: Partner with marketing on pricing strategies; track inventory levels and budget variances; execute approved cash disbursements in accordance with policies.
  • Team Leadership & Governance: Recruit, train, and develop finance department staff; implement process improvements; ensure full compliance with internal governance standards and financial best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: CPA qualification is an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting management.
    • At least 3 years of recent experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager overseeing budgeting, cost accounting, credit control, and financial operations.
    • Professional experience in a manufacturing or similar structured enterprise environment is preferred.
    • Exposure to businesses generating USD 10M – USD 30M in annual revenue is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Strong grasp of automated and manual accounting systems. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
  • Core Competencies: Advanced financial forecasting and analytical skills, high integrity, strong team leadership, and excellent decision-making capabilities.
