Job Summary

The Junior Accountant will prepare complete UK-compliant financial accounts end-to-end under UK accounting standards. Working in a collaborative, non-micromanaged environment supported by weekly team calls with a Senior Accountant, the role involves direct client interaction with UK SME clients and applying a commercial mindset to identify additional service opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • UK Financial Accounts Preparation: Prepare complete, UK-compliant financial accounts from start to finish applying UK GAAP requirements.
  • Standards Adherence: Apply FRS 105 and FRS 102 accounting standards for small and medium-sized entities (SMEs).
  • Client Engagement & Commercial Mindset: Interact directly with SME clients and identify cross-selling or additional service opportunities.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate actively in weekly team review calls with the Senior Accountant.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Essential Technical Knowledge: Strong, essential working knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Essential Accounting Standards: Hands-on experience with FRS 105 and FRS 102 standards for SMEs is required.
  • Account Preparation: Proven ability to prepare full UK-compliant financial accounts end-to-end.
  • Core Skills: Excellent client-facing communication skills and strong commercial acumen.
