Job Summary

Working under the guidance of the Client Account Manager, the Senior Client Accountant will manage a portfolio of complex corporate structures, Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), and platinum clients. The role involves preparing management accounts, statutory financial statements, tax filings, managing audit processes, and mentoring junior accounting team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management & Reporting: Manage complex entities and high-value clients, preparing management accounts, statutory financial statements, and regulatory filings under IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Compliance & Deadlines: Ensure strict adherence to statutory, tax, corporate filing, and audit deadlines across the portfolio.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries, operational requests, and technical deliverables.
  • Team Supervision & Quality Control: Review the work of junior accountants, provide technical guidance, support workload distribution, and oversee audit preparation.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in process optimization, reporting system enhancements, and team compliance workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Full professional designation such as ACCA, SAICA, ACA, or equivalent.
  • Post-Qualification Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience (PQE) in professional services, corporate services, or accounting practices.
  • Accounting Standards & SPVs: Strong working knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, VAT, corporate tax compliance, and experience working with SPVs or structured finance entities is preferred.
  • Technical & Soft Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, experience with accounting software, fluent written/spoken English, and strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
