Job Summary

The Accountant will lead the organization’s financial strategy and operations by establishing robust accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth across trading, services, and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting & Reporting: Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts, prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations, ensure accuracy of general ledger postings, and support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements (including TRA audits and filings), submit tax returns on time, and implement basic internal controls and approval processes.
  • Cash Flow & Operations: Monitor receivables, payables, working capital, and cash flow planning while tracking costs and expenses to flag variances or inefficiencies.
  • Systems & Stakeholders: Utilize ERP systems effectively (Next ERP preferred) and coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA) preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Mid-level managerial experience in accounting with 4 to 5 years of total working experience, including proven experience in financial management within trading, logistics, services, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of compliance, governance, and audit requirements, proficiency in ERP systems (preferably Next ERP), and strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
