Job Summary

The Finance Intern will be responsible for maintaining accounts payable transactions and supporting the general administration and operational finance requirements of a multinational logistics business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Operations: Handle purchase orders capture, invoice matching, payment postings, supplier payments, and supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Billing & Compliance: Manage client billing and invoicing, and assist with statutory compliance and tax returns.
  • Reconciliation & Audits: Conduct bank reconciliations and assist in internal and external audits.
  • Administration & Quality Assurance: Comply with relevant finance and general standard operating procedures (SOPs), and manage consumables.
  • Environmental Management: Participate in implementing departmental and site Environmental Management System (EMS) objectives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Administration, or Business Management.
  • Professional Qualifications: Preferred semi-qualified accountant (CPA-K or ACCA).
  • Experience: Prior experience in a freight forwarding or logistics company is an added advantage.
  • Skills: Good IT and Excel skills, strong verbal and written communication, negotiation skills, initiative, and excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
