Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The Management Accountant will play a pivotal role in company strategy, handling cost accounting, management reporting, financial planning, budgeting, pricing, and cost-benefit analyses to help the management team make informed decisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets, strategic plans, and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitoring and analyzing budgetary performance, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Developing, maintaining, and analyzing standard costs of manufactured goods, and assisting in the implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses to evaluate potential investments and projects.
  • Maintaining the value chain by uploading pricing and discounts into SAP by Design, maintaining pricing templates, analyzing pricing trends, and recommending changes.
  • Preparing and disseminating periodic reports, coordinating and consolidating monthly and quarterly MIS & KPI reports, and tracking synergy and operational efficiency.
  • Performing monthly cost centre reviews, ensuring General Ledger reconciliations and accuracy, preparing stock-taking schedules, and performing half-year stock reconciliations.
  • Assisting in reviewing available controls in line with SICS.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong system and process knowledge, preferably SAP; well-versed with spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
  • Core Competencies: Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting, excellent interpersonal skills, and good communication and teamwork abilities.
