Job Purpose & Responsibilities

The Manager is responsible for preparing the Bank's and Group's audited financial statements in compliance with IFRS accounting standards, IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 disclosure requirements, and BoT and DSE guidelines on sustainability and climate requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial & Climate Disclosures: Lead the preparation of climate-related financial disclosures in accordance with IFRS S1, IFRS S2, TCFD recommendations, and regulatory requirements; coordinate the collection and reporting of sustainability and Sharia-compliant financial data.
  • Emissions & PCAF Methodology: Coordinate the measurement, calculation, and reporting of Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, while supporting financed emissions assessments using the PCAF methodology.
  • Risk & Scenario Analysis: Coordinate the identification and disclosure of climate-related risks and opportunities; support climate scenario analysis, stress testing, and physical/transition risk assessments in collaboration with Risk and Compliance.
  • Islamic Finance & Governance: Manage Islamic accounting and Sharia-compliant financial reporting requirements; support internal control frameworks for sustainability, climate disclosures, and Islamic finance reporting.
  • Audits & Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain comprehensive supporting documentation and audit trails; liaise with external auditors, regulators, rating agencies, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: Professional accounting or finance certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, analysis, or related finance functions.
  • Preferred Knowledge: Experience with sustainability and financial reporting frameworks including GRI, IFRS Sustainability Standards, PCAF, and NGFS; strong understanding of IFRS S1 and S2 standards, ESG, and non-financial metrics.
  • Skills: Proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.), strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
