Job Summary

The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support the preparation of financial reports. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Operations: Manage daily financial transactions, process invoices, receipts, and payroll, and maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records.
  • Reconciliations & Reporting: Enter and reconcile financial data in Tally while ensuring completeness, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Statutory Compliance: Process statutory deductions (PAYE, SDL, NSSF, WCF, City Service Levy) and ensure timely preparation and submission of returns to relevant authorities.
  • Audits & Controls: Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, implementing internal controls, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance (internship or entry-level experience accepted).
  • Skills & Proficiency: Proficiency in Tally and MS Office (especially Excel), a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and statutory requirements, and high accuracy with attention to detail.
