Job Summary

The Accountant will handle large amounts of numerical data and provide transparent, complete reports to management. The role combines financial, tax, and operational responsibilities, requiring a firm grasp of accounting practices, regulatory compliance, and general facility or inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Payroll Operations: Handle cash withdrawals, disbursements, petty cash management, supplier payments, reconciliations, and payroll preparation for local and expatriate staff.
  • Statutory & Tax Compliance: File monthly, half-yearly, and yearly returns (such as PAYE, SDL, VAT, and NSSF), attend to TRA queries, and coordinate with auditors.
  • HR & Expatriate Administration: Manage worker registration on portals (NSSF, PAYE, WCF), process business visas, work permits, and insurance policies for expatriate staff, and handle labor dispute resolutions.
  • Inventory & Production Tracking: Manage stock records, oversee goods issues for production, post production orders, track consumables usage, and conduct physical stock counts.
  • Operations & Maintenance: Oversee machinery and premises maintenance, operational repairs, and facility upgrades.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience, including hands-on experience in handling general operations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, computer skills, and a solid understanding of mathematical, accounting, and financial processes with strong attention to detail.
